Network Administrator

Seeking Network Administrator

Ogden Publications, a growing multi-media company specializing in national magazine and internet publishing, is seeking a take-charge person to join our Team. This is creative and challenging work in a fast-paced environment.

You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of server-based and cloud-based systems. You will ensure application and infrastructure security monitoring, analyze and resolve related issues, and evaluate systems to meet network requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, maintain, and support physical servers and cloud-based file storage, network infrastructure, and applications.
• Perform system administration duties including user account management, security configurations, and software updates.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network and system performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
• Maintain security measures to safeguard network systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and endpoint security solutions.
• Support virtualization, cloud storage, and backup/recovery strategies.
• Provide technical guidance and support to end-users.
• Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and network topology.

Qualifications Required:

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in network/system administration.
• Proficiency in Windows Server and Windows desktop environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field OR equivalent professional experience.
• Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google)
• Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
